Cute Plus Size Leather Jackets

Every woman needs a nice-looking leather jacket. They are a wardrobe staple that you will wear all over town. If you get the right style for you, then you'll be able to wear it on many different occasions. Depending on whatever occasions your life entails, that could mean a tailored leather blazer or a men's motorcycle jacket.
Just so we all know that we're talking about the same thing, I call a "jacket" an outerwear top that comes down no further than your waist. It can cover the top of your hips, but if it goes any further down, its really a coat. I also do not consider leather blazers to be jackets, though I have to admit they're pretty darn close. Still, for just this article, if its got a blazer cut, its a blazer not a jacket.
Let's talk prices for these jackets. If you want to get a leather jacket that's going to last maybe a year or two, and you don't particularly need it to be super high quality, you can find a bunch of different plus size leather jackets at Lane Bryant or Roaman's or Avenue. Chico's also has some hip jackets. Some of them are leather and some are actually polyurethane, which is kind of weird, but it has a very similar feel and look to leather. The Lane Bryant and Roaman's jackets can be had for anywhere from $40 to $80. The Chico's polyurethane jacket is an amazing $140 for what is fundamentally plastic, but that's also the same price they are charging for some of their real leather jackets. Assuming you had two jackets that you liked equally at these two clothing retailers, I would go with the Chico's jacket, even if it was made of fake leather. I have been continually disappointed by many of the main-stream online retailers for plus size women. Their clothes seem cheaply made and they do not wear well and the seams start coming apart within months.
You might not think to check there, but Amazon actually has some nice leather jackets for plus size women. One of them has gotten over two dozen five star reviews and is cut in a way that you could wear it to a junior league meeting or to a rock concert. It is clean, sleek-looking style with a pronounced collar that typically works well for plus size women. The price is $160 and it comes in brown or black.
Another surprise source for plus size leather jackets is Harley Davidson. Here you are going to spend quite a bit of money -- $450 for some of their jackets, but the quality will last you possibly the rest of your life. Harley has a huge reputation for quality, and some of you who ride bikes know that they make their jackets to not only last for a decade or more, but to actually protect you in case of an accident. So while you will spend enough to buy three other jackets, you're getting top-grade leather sewn by someone who cared. Its a nice look if you can afford it.
